RCMP in Evansburg said a man was facing charges in connection to an alleged sexual assault that reportedly took place in early September.
RCMP said John Hansen, 69, of Sangudo, Alberta, was arrested September 8. He has been charged with sexual assault and breach of trust.
The charges stem from an incident that reportedly took place September 5, while the accused was on duty as a civilian guard at the Evansburg RCMP detachment.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
