A man has died, after crashing his motorcycle in Edmonton’s west end Wednesday night.
Police said the crash happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday night, in the area of 170 Street and 69 Avenue.
Witnesses said two motorbikes were seen speeding northbound on 170 Street just before the collision happened.
A number of witnesses stopped to help the motorcyclist until paramedics arrived – however, he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The Traffic Unit is investigating – but it’s believed alcohol did not play a factor in the crash, but speed might have.
The northbound lanes of 170 Street at the scene were closed for several hours, and opened just after 1 a.m.
