Edmonton police have laid charges against a man, in connection to the alleged assault of a 25-year-old man late last week.

Police said Tuesday, July 2 that Jesse Gladue, 23, had been charged with aggravated assault – in connection to an incident that left a man suffering from serious injuries on Thursday, June 27.

Investigators said the male assault victim had attended a party in a townhouse on Abbotsfield Road, and was allegedly involved in a fight with another man.

The victim left the party, but was followed by a third man, who was driving a van – that man caught up with the man who had just left the party in the area of 121 Avenue and 41 Street.

It’s believed the victim was assaulted in the area by the third man, who fled in the van.

Officers arrested Gladue on June 29.
