A 32-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the neck on Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Boyle Street Co-Op just after midnight on Wednesday. The victim was rushed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where he remains in serious condition.

“The victim is cooperative, he's helping police and the witnesses who are here are helping police, we are trying to find out what the cause was and who's responsible,”  says Insp. Eddie McIsaac.

Investigators are also hoping that surveillance cameras in the area may have captured the shooting and help lead them to a suspect. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
