Days after shots rang out in two shooting incidents; police said one of the individuals injured had passed away in hospital.
Edmonton police said Wednesday that Sultanbek Abdymamat Uulu, 22, died in hospital that morning.
He was injured in a shooting that was believed to have taken place in the area of 94 Street and 132 Avenue Monday night; police said at the time that it’s believed someone drove the injured man to another crime scene on the north side at the time.
Investigators said the victim was a passenger in an SUV that was allegedly shot at before the vehicle arrived at the other crime scene, police said the three other men in the same vehicle reported no injuries.
Police and emergency crews were already at the scene of an alleged break and enter in the area of 133A Street and 136 Avenue, where a 48-year-old man allegedly suffered gunshot wounds when two people reportedly broke into a home, and assaulted the two people inside.
Paramedics on the scene of that incident treated Abdymamat Uulu on the scene, and he was taken to hospital in critical condition.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, police said.
