A 24-year-old man wanted by police in connection with a shooting has turned himself in.

Police say Samer Chehimi turned himself in Thursday just after 7 a.m. at the downtown police headquarters.

On Tuesday,  a man was driving westbound on 137 Avenue at 34 Street when a blue Ford F-150 pulled alongside his vehicle. Police report that a shot was then fired from the pickup into the male's SUV.

The driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries in the incident. Investigators say the suspect and the driver are known to each other.

Chehimi is facing several charges, including discharging a weapon with intent.
