An Edmonton man accused of terrorism is set to face an extradition hearing in November.

Sayfildin Tahir-Sharif is charged in the U.S. for allegedly supporting a terrorist group that took part in a suicide bombing in Iraq that killed five American soldiers in April 2009.

Tahir-Sharif was arrested in Edmonton in January at the request of the FBI. U.S. authorities are looking to have him extradited to answer to the alleged ties to terrorist activity overseas.

In March, the man's lawyer, Tahir-Sharif's lawyer, requested a number of documents, and argued he had seen very little evidence against his client.

Federal prosecutors agreed to unseal a number of documents in the case against Tahir-Sharif.

The extradition hearing will begin Nov. 7th.
