The family of a man whose been missing for six years is maintaining hope that someone has seen or heard from Michael Feist since disappeared on Jan. 12, 2006.

Police say they still have no solid leads as to Feist's whereabouts, what happened to him or why he went missing.

Michael Feist was last seen on Jan. 13, 2006. His car, a 1986 Honda hatchback, was found two days later on Highway 43, about two kilometers east of Cherhill, near Mayerthorpe.

RCMP said his car was in good working condition and Feist had no reason to abandon it.

Investigators believe Feist may have walked or hitchhiked along Highway 43.

Police said the case has left them stunned as they have no evidence to suggest foul play.

Feist is being described as a white male, 5'9 and about 180 pounds with blue eyes and short brown hair. Police said he may have been wearing a toque and carrying a large black duffel bag.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have any information about Feist to contact St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222–8477.
