Geoff Hastings has come home, returning to Edmonton to anchor CTV News at Five.

Born in Edmonton, he was raised in both the city and on a farm near Duffield.

His broadcasting career started at CTV Edmonton in a behind-the-scenes role while he attended NAIT’s Radio and Television program in 2006. Soon after, Geoff moved to Kamloops BC to work at Radio NL, and then CFJC Television as a news and sports reporter and anchor. In 2011 Geoff moved to Vancouver and spent several years at Global BC as a reporter and anchor, and contributor to CKNW Radio and Global National.

Geoff is an English-speaking generalist who has covered news stories all over British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest, and has been recognized for his work winning Jack Webster, Edward R. Murrow, and RTDNA awards for his reporting.

Geoff and his wife Eve are the proud parents of sons Jack and Malcolm.
