Nahreman Issa knew from a young age she was destined to talk for a living. Growing up in Edmonton, she wanted to be a lawyer or a TV reporter. TV won out in the end.
While enrolled at NAIT in the Radio and Television Arts program in 2008, Nahreman began her career as a writer for CTV Edmonton. After working behind the scenes for four years, she moved to Lloydminster to work on-air as a news reporter and anchor, before becoming a full time sports reporter.
She returned to CTV Edmonton in 2016, working in several roles, including videojournalist, producer and assignment editor. She currently reports three days a week and anchors on weekends.
While she calls herself a news junkie, her main passion is watching and playing sports. She says the best part about being a reporter is meeting new people and being able to share their stories.
Nahreman has covered many stories she won’t forget, her greatest moment was when she reported on the Edmonton Oilers’ playoff run in 2016-17.
