Edmonton police are warning the public about a violent offender who has just been released from custody. The 30-year-old man was released from a correctional facility on Feb. 28. after serving a 3.4-year sentence for robbery, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

Police consider Michael Struthers to be an untreated violent offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community.

Police say the man will be residing in the Edmonton area and will be monitored by EPS Behavioural Assessment Unit.

He is described as 

  • 6'2" tall
  • 170 lbs.
  • Has brown hair, blue eyes and wears eyeglasses.
