RCMP west of Edmonton have charged three individuals, after a young man was attacked by two males Saturday – and his vehicle stolen.

Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP said on Saturday, an 18-year-old man had given three people a ride from Edmonton to the Enoch Cree Nation.

Once they arrived, the driver was assaulted by the two males, who stole his vehicle – leaving him on an isolated ATV trail.

RCMP were able to track down the stolen vehicle – and managed to stop it after a short chase.

Now, RCMP said three people were facing a number of charges.

Christian Nigel Ward, 23, of Enoch is charged with flight from police and possession of stolen property – he is scheduled to appear in a Stony Plain courtroom October 30.

Plus, two youths, both 16-year-old boys, are facing a number of charges.

One of the teens has been charged with robbery, uttering threats, assault, and obstructing police, he’s expected to appear in an Edmonton courtroom October 29, he remains in custody.

The other is facing a charge of robbery and assault; he’s been released from custody and will appear in Stony Plain youth courtroom November 15.
