Edmonton police have laid charges against three individuals, following a series of alleged break and enters at cell phone retail kiosks in Edmonton.

On July 22, police were called to a reported break and enter at such a kiosk at Kingsway Mall at 7:30 a.m., it was reported that two male suspects were seen breaking into the cabinets of the kiosk and taking what was inside.

Two males were arrested and charged, and a third female suspect was identified.

She was later arrested and charged for her role in the alleged incident.

As a result, Jean Paul Boutin, 33, Tanner Jay Anderson, 21, and Kayla Elizabeth Wright, 29, are facing a total of 32 charges ranging from break and enter, possession of break and enter instruments, stolen property and a controlled substance.

Later, police executed a search warrant on the hotel room where the trio was staying, and found stolen property, break-in tools, and drugs inside.

At the same time, police had been investigating a number of similar break and enters – and the same suspects were linked to four other thefts throughout July, that involved about $15,000 worth in stolen property.

Police in Edmonton, Calgary, and RCMP are still investigating.
