Edmonton police have laid drug-related charges against two individuals who own an establishment on the city’s south side.

Police said on Wednesday, a search warrant was executed at a licensed establishment located near 95 Avenue and 87 Street.

The search came after a three month investigation that followed allegations of drug trafficking that arose in late 2013 – in the search, marijuana and cocaine was seized from the premises.

Now, Bassam Monsef, 61, is facing three counts of trafficking cocaine, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of living off the proceeds of crime and a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

In addition, Antoine Khalil Mounsef, 54, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
