News tipsAmanda made her first appearance on air at the age of 17 at CTV North Bay. After that she quickly moved into weather anchor and late news anchor roles and was even one of the youngest news anchors in Northern Ontario.
In 2001, Amanda moved to Huntsville, ON as CTV's Cottage Country videojournalist, covering Muskoka, Parry Sound, Haliburton and Algonquin Park.
In 2009, Amanda began to pursue freelance work - including work for CTV Toronto & Global National. But the pace wasn't quick enough for her, so in 2010, Amanda packed up a U-Haul and drove across the country in pursuit of the daily deadline pressures.
After spending a year at CityTV Edmonton Amanda returned to the CTV family as a videojournalist with CTV Edmonton.
When not working she spends time exploring city trails and playing frisbee with her black lab.
And if you're wondering why Amanda is still a VJ after all these years... she says it's simple: She loves shooting her own video. Amanda believes being a VJ is a chance to be even more creative in telling someone's story.
