Michelle Gerwing

Michelle Gerwing started with CTV Edmonton in 2008 as a video editor and is currently posted in Red Deer, AB as the bureau videojournalist for Central Alberta. She graduated from NAIT with a diploma in Television Broadcasting in 2010.

Michelle grew up on an acreage close to the town of Trochu, AB, but attended grade school in Olds, AB. She moved to Edmonton after high school to pursue her education as well as athletics. Before moving back to Central Alberta in August 2012, Michelle ranked in the top 12 nationally for the track and field event of pole vault.

Michelle's outgoing personality and love of storytelling led her to a career in broadcasting.

She is always impressed with the passion and determination of Central Albertans she's met while covering the region.

In her spare time Michelle loves to thrift shop, sew, and play as many sports as possible.
