Adel Ahmed
ContactAdel Ahmed is a multimedia journalist at CTV News Edmonton.
Born in New Westminster, B.C., he was raised in the lower mainland before moving to Edmonton as a teenager.
He began his broadcasting career as a sports director with CITL in Lloydminster shortly after graduating from NAIT’s Radio and Television program with honours in 2022.
Soon after, Adel moved to Kamloops, B.C., to work at CFJC Television as a news reporter and weather anchor. Covering several stories across the interior, Adel earned Pattison Media's 'Up and Comer' award for making a positive impact on his reporting in a short period of time.
Adel then got the opportunity to come home in the fall to work in Edmonton and is excited to tell the most compelling stories in the community.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing sports with his friends.
