Touria Izri
February 2022: Touria Izri is no longer with CTV News Edmonton.
Touria Izri was born in Edmonton, but grew up just outside Toronto.
She studied journalism at Ryerson University. Her first job in news was as an intern for the Toronto Star. After that, Touria worked as a writer for CTV News Channel and then as a producer on CTV National News.
She traveled to Pyeongchang for the Winter Olympics, Juno Beach for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and Ottawa for the 2019 Federal Budget.
In November 2019, Touria made the switch from producing to reporting, becoming a videojournalist with CTV Winnipeg. She spent most of her time in Manitoba covering the pandemic, including outbreaks at long term care homes, rising case numbers on First Nations and the crushing toll of COVID-19 on local businesses. In March 2021, Touria returned to Alberta, joining CTV Edmonton as a videojournalist.
