The Edmonton Oilers' cheerleading team are making their debut Tuesday at Rexall Place as the Oilers take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Oilers are the first Canadian NHL team to get their own cheerleading team.

Cheer teams already exists in 23 NHL arenas including Carolina. The cheerleaders will show off their dance moves in the stands during the second period.

Auditions for the team were held back in October. More than 100 women tried out for the team, but only 19 cheerleaders made the cut.
