RCMP in northern Alberta have charged a driver who was allegedly involved in an overnight collision on the highway left a young woman dead and three others injured.
Peace Regional RCMP said officers arrived on the scene of the crash on Highway 2 west of Peace River just after midnight on Friday.
Police said a truck had broadsided a car that was turning around on the highway.
A 19-year-old woman was killed in the crash, the three other people in the car suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The 24-year-old male driver of the car has been charged with impaired driving causing death.
Investigators said road conditions were not a factor in the crash.
