One of two missing males sought by police in connection to a suspicious death in Strathcona County has been found dead.
Earlier in the week, Strathcona County RCMP reported they were searching for Dino Richard Kaz, 42, of Edmonton, and Brent Abbott of Saskatoon. Police say the remains of Kaz were located inside a green Ford pickup that was registered to the man.
Abbott remains missing.
Police have been attempting to locate the men who are believed to be associated with a property where a fire occurred on Dec.19th.
A man's body was found in the burned remains of a garage located south of Township Road 524 on Range Road 213.
During the police investigation, officers located the body of an adult in the burned remains of the garage. An autopsy has determined the gender of the body to be an adult male. The identity of the body has yet to be determined, and the cause of death has not been released.
Police said Kaz was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 18th in the Edmonton area. He was believed to have frequented the rural property.
Abbott was also last seen in the Edmonton area on Friday Dec. 17th in the evening.
On Wednesday, Evansburg RCMP said they were contacted by a local landowner about a possible sighting of the green pickup registered to Kaz.
The adult male remains located inside the truck were positively identified as 42-year-old Kaz.
The vehicle is registered under Kaz but bears a Saskatchewan licence plate registered to Abbott.
