One man was sent to hospital overnight after a stabbing in Old Strathcona.

Police were called to the area of 102 Street and 85 Avenue around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the victim was stabbed in the stomach after getting into an argument with a stranger.

The man sustained minor injuries and has since been released from hospital.

It’s the second time this week emergency crews have been called to a stabbing in Old Strathcona.

On Thursday, police were called to a stabbing outside Rumors Ultra Lounge on Gateway Boulevard.

The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening and a 30-year-old man faces one charge of assault with a weapon in that case.
