RCMP west of Edmonton said the investigation was underway, after a car crashed through fences and a house Thursday morning.
Spruce Grove RCMP said a woman was driving westbound on Grove Drive at about 10 a.m., west of Jennifer Heil Way, when the vehicle veered off the road, through three fences and backyards, struck the back of a home, before coming to a rest along a fence.
Luckily, no one was at home when the incident unfolded.
“Last week was spring break, [one of the homeowners] had children out in the backyard playing, we are very lucky that no one was home at the time of this incident,” Cpl. Colette Zazulak said.
The driver was taken to an Edmonton-area hospital for treatment, at last word she was in serious but stable condition – it’s believed a medical condition may have contributed to the crash.
