Officers responded to the call around noon.
They say two suspects robbed an armed Brinks guard at the Safeway.
The guard was treated on the scene for injuries and the Safeway store was closed down for the rest of the day.
“When you see this many cop cars around you can sort of guess what’s happening,” Stan Springsteele told CTV News.
“They didn’t give me a reason but I guessed and he sort of said ‘Yeah, maybe’.”
There is no word on how much money was taken.
