RCMP in Fort McMurray are investigating, after a series of disturbances resulted in a man suffering from several stab wounds – and the suspect is at large.
Police said early Monday morning, officers received numerous complaints – reporting suspects causing a disturbance, and ringing doorbells of homes on Pliska Crescent in Fort McMurray.
At about 1:45 a.m., on homeowner answered the door, and was attacked by a suspect, who reportedly stabbed him multiple times.
The 34-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries – at last word he was in stable condition.
The suspect reportedly fled towards a wooded area nearby, the suspect is described as:
- Slim
- Approximately 183 cm (6’) tall
- Spoke with an accent
At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a black and white bandana.
Police said this incident is believed to have been connected to another where a number of people were seen trying to break into vehicles parked on the same crescent.
The 34-year-old victim had confronted that group before they fled on foot.
