Edmonton police have issued a warning about a man recently released from the Bowden Institute.

22-year-old Cyle Austin Larsen was released after serving two years and nine months in jail for sexual interference after an incident that happened in Sherwood Park in December, 2009.

Officers consider Larsen to be an untreated child sexual offender and they said they believe he is a high risk to re-offend.

Police said there is a significant chance Larsen could cause harm to minors.

Larsen will be living in the Edmonton area and will be monitored by the Behavioural Assessment Unit of the EPS.

The Edmonton Police Service is putting out the warning to inform the public but they do not want people to engage in any form of vigilante action.
