Police are searching for a male suspect after a string of ‘unusual’ daytime break-and-enters in southwest Edmonton on Monday.
Four break-and-enters were reported to police on Monday, in the southwest Edmonton neighbourhood of Belgravia.
"The neighbourhood of Belgravia suffered four daytime residential break-and-enters, all of which were very similar in nature and during office hours,” Const. David Crisp said in a news release issued Tuesday.
“This is very unusual for this normally quiet neighbourhood.”
Police describe the suspect as:
- Caucasian man
- 190 cm (6’3”)
- Unshaven
- Between the age of 25 to 30
Witnesses also reported the man was wearing a toque with ear flaps and a blue winter jacket.
Police believe the man was walking through the neighbourhood, first knocking on doors to see if anyone was home, before breaking in.
Crisp is asking Belgravia residents to report any suspicious activity.
