Edmonton police are searching for a vehicle and weapon believed to be connected to a weekend shooting.

Police say a man with a gunshot injury was dropped off at the Grey Nuns Hospital just after 8 a.m. Sunday.

Officers have spoken to the injured man but say they still need more information in the incident.

“We would like to speak to the individuals who dropped off the injured male to hospital as they may have key information about this incident,” Acting Det. Scott Gargan said in a news release.

Investigators believe the vehicle that dropped off the man is a 2004-2006 grey Infinity G35. The vehicle's licence plate is unknown.

Part of the driver’s side rear window was allegedly damaged by a gun that was in the vehicle.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or the gun is asked to contact 780-423-4567, #377 from a mobile phone, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
