A 33-year-old man, who Edmonton police nicknamed the 'Half-Baked Bandit', is back in police custody after being apprehended in Calgary.

Calgary officers arrested Gregory Dwight Marshall Sunday night. The man is a suspect in  a number of recent bank robberies in Edmonton and two in Calgary.

Back in 2007, Marshall received the nickname after he was wanted in connection for robbing some city bakeries.

Marshall was convicted of robbery and sentenced to 61 months in prison back in February of last year. He was serving his sentence at the minimum security Stan Daniels Centre, but walked away last month.

Since Marshall escaped July 24, police believe he has robbed a CIBC on July 27 in Meadowlark and another CIBC in Oliver Square just two days later. Marshall is also a person of interest in two TD Bank robberies and one at a Rexall Drugs.
