RCMP confirm death after crash on Hwy 16

RCMP had to close close down part of Hwy 16 eastbound, after a serious crash between an SUV and a tractor on Monday, August 20.
Police west of Edmonton have confirmed a woman has died, after she and two children were injured in a collision on the highway Monday morning,
On Tuesday, Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP confirmed a 31-year-old woman from Spruce Grove succumbed to her injuries Monday in an Edmonton hospital.
She had been critically injured in the collision earlier that day on Highway 16, east of Campsite Road/Jennifer Heil Way.
RCMP were called to the scene just before 11 a.m., after a tractor and an SUV collided in the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Immediately after the crash, a woman and two children were rushed to hospital in Edmonton – the children were taken to hospital in stable condition.
Police said Tuesday both children are still in hospital in Edmonton, and are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP are still investigating.
