Police south of Edmonton are working to track down two suspects, believed to have been behind an armed robbery at a Leduc store in early November.

Leduc RCMP said officers were called to Mico’s Liquor Store on 50 Avenue in Leduc on reports of an armed robbery on November 4 at about 10:15 p.m.

Officers arrived a short time later, but were not able to immediately find the two male suspects reportedly behind the robbery, who fled the store on foot.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Short, dark hair
  • Between 180 cm (5’11”) and 183 cm (6’) tall
  • Between 79 kg (175 lbs) and 86 kg (190 lbs)

At the time of the incident he was reportedly wearing a black leather jacket (similar to a letterman football jacket), and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as:

  • Between 183 cm (6’) and 188 cm (6’2”) tall
  • Between 79 kg (175 lbs) and 86 kg (190 lbs)

This suspect was also reportedly wearing a similar jacket to the other suspect.

At the time of the incident, the suspects were wearing bandanas over their noses, ears and mouths – and one was carrying a long gun, described as similar to a German Lugar.

Police released composite sketches of both suspects – and said anyone who sees individuals matching their description should contact RCMP, and not confront the suspects.
