In an announcement Wednesday, the province said Premier Alison Redford will deliver a televised address to Albertans Thursday evening.

Redford is expected to talk about the financial impact of rapidly falling resource revenues on the province’s long-term economic plan.

The address will air Thursday on CTV stations province-wide, at the end of CTV News at Six (at about 6:50 p.m.).

It will be re-broadcast on CTV2 an hour later and then again on the same channel at 11:52 p.m. – and just before noon Friday morning.

The 8 minute address cost about $55,000 for production and airtime.

Thursday’s address will mark the first time Redford has spoken directly to Albertans in this way since she became premier.
