School bus driver ticketed after Jasper Avenue crash

A school bus driver was ticketed after a crash in downtown Edmonton on Wednesday.

Police found the driver ran a red light while heading west on Jasper Avenue through the 108 Street intersection around 3:45 p.m., when it hit a southbound sedan.

The ticket for failing to stop at a red light is a $405 fine.

No injuries were reported, although both vehicles were significantly damaged, police said.

They did not say if either vehicle was carrying any passengers.

Another crash involving a school bus happened in south Edmonton on Wednesday.
