Edmonton Police said Thursday that two suspects had been arrested and were facing two dozen charges, in connection to a series of robberies in March and April.

Police said Marvin Byrd, 30, and Mamahat Tiber, 37, had been arrested Wednesday, April 12, and are facing a total of 24 robbery and firearms offences.

It’s alleged the two suspects were connected to the following robberies: March 16 in the area of Rabbit Hill Road and Terwillegar Drive, March 21 in the area of 52 Street and 167 Avenue, March 28 in the area of 178 Street and 66 Avenue, March 30 in the area of 131 Street and 137 Avenue, and April 12 in the area of 97 Street and 161 Avenue.

In each case, police said the suspects threatened the use of a weapon, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are still investigating.
