A 19-year-old Edmonton man who is charged with the second-degree murder of a 17-year-old male is now facing two additional charges.

The 17-year-old boy lost his life after a north-end hall party turned violent on Jan. 9th.

Police responded to the Killarney Community Centre at 87th Street and 130A Avenue. In all, four people were stabbed, and one person died.

Police identified the victim as Niko Arlia of Edmonton.

Kevin Moffett, 19, of Edmonton has been charged with second degree murder and a weapons offence in connection with the boy's death.

Police say their ongoing investigation has resulted in the identification of two additional individuals who were injured during the altercation at the community centre.

Moffett now faces two additional charges of assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

Moffett remains in custody at the Edmonton Remand Centre. He made a court appearance Friday morning.
