The trial of an Edmonton man charged with first degree murder after a 23-year-old woman was shot in the head at the Stadium LRT station began Monday.
Heather Rae Thurier was killed as a result of the incident, which occurred in May, 2010.
It has been alleged that a man approached Thurier and asked for a cigarette.
Witnesses said she was shot moments later.
The Crown has accused Colton Barry Ferguson, 21, of the execution style murder.
The trial will run for two weeks.
