Three people were found dead inside a Spruce Grove home Monday morning, with two of them being young boys. The boys’ bodies were discovered by their mother and stepfather.

CTV Edmonton spoke with the stepfather Monday night. Brent Stark says he and his wife Tracy, the boys’ mother, discovered the bodies Monday at 10 a.m. Both he and Tracy live in Whitecourt and were in town.

The boys, aged 11 and 13, are identified as Ryder and Radek MacDougall according to Stark. Their father Corry MacDougall, was also found inside the home.

Stark said the boys were competitive hockey players in Spruce Grove.

“Beautiful young lives, snuffed out by a coward,” said Stark.

Stark says they are working with the RCMP and expects more information will be released Tuesday.

Early Monday afternoon, Spruce Grove RCMP confirmed officers were investigating the deaths in a Spruce Grove home and that they were not looking for anyone in connection to the incident.

Autopsies on the three deceased are scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, December 20.
