RCMP are investigating, after three vehicles were involved in a serious collision near Fort Saskatchewan late Thursday morning.

Police on the scene told CTV News a westbound pickup truck crossed the centre line on Highway 15, at the bridge over the North Saskatchewan River, and was hit by an eastbound semi-truck.

A second pickup, also travelling westbound, collided with the first truck.

The drivers of both pickup trucks were taken by ground ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
