Police have confirmed the man found dead in a parking lot in southeast Edmonton over the weekend was murdered.

On Wednesday, police said the Medical Examiner determined that Cameron Thomas, 26, died of gunshot wounds.

His body was found at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, November 11, in a parking lot in the area of 34 Avenue and 92 Street.

The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, however, they said no suspects have been identified, and detectives are still trying to track down witnesses.
