The wife of a dead Elk Point man is facing second-degree murder charges after an autopsy revealed he was shot to death.
Murray Evan Babcock, 46, was found dead Wednesday around 2 p.m inside his rural home, located about two kilometres north of Elk Point on Hwy 41.
Emergency crews arrived to find a man dead and a woman inside the home.
An autopsy revealed he died from a single gun shot wound.
Judith Lynn Babcock, 44, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Her first court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 16 in St. Paul.
