Beaumont RCMP have arrested and charged a youth with aggravated assault and attempted murder after a teenage boy was found severely injured outside a home in the community, just south of Edmonton, on Tuesday.
Police were called to the area of Rideau Crescent at about 1:30 a.m. where they discovered the victim, who will not be identified, with “obvious head injuries”.
The teen was taken to hospital, however the extent of his injuries will not be released by police.
According to officials, the accused will not be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The investigation, that involved members of the RCMP serious crime branch and EPS, continues.
No other details have been released.
