5 hospitalized after head-on crash on highway 2A near Millet

Five people were taken to hospital after a crash on Highway 2A south of Millet on Wednesday night.

At 8:45 p.m., RCMP issued a release saying the crash was affecting traffic on the highway near Township Road 474. Both directions of traffic were redirected for several hours.

Mounties said five people had been taken to hospital, though none of their injuries were considered life-threatening.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, RCMP said.

No other details on the crash have been released.

The Town of Millet is about 50 kilometres south of Edmonton.
