Investigators were on the scene in the city’s southwest, after officers were called to a suspicious death.
Police said on Wednesday at about 2 p.m., officers were called to a suspicious death at a home in the area of 49 Avenue and 213 Street.
The Homicide Section was called, and the two deaths are being treated as suspicious.
Autopsies have not yet been scheduled and police have not identified either individual, although it has been confirmed a man and a woman were found in the home.
Staff Sgt. Bill Clark of the EPS Homicide Unit was on scene Wednesday evening and held a media availability.
“We are treating it as a homicide right now. We’ll know more once we confirm autopsy times and that but we do have a male and a female deceased in the residence.” Clark said, adding “Information’s just still coming in and obviously there’s lots to find out and lots to do.”
