Morning clouds helped produce a beautiful sunrise over Edmonton today.
Those clouds will stick around this morning & then break up a bit later today.
An upper-level cold front is slowly making it's way across the province.
That means:  drier & cooler air.
After sitting in the mid-20s Saturday & Sunday, we'll slip to the low 20s today/Tue/Wed in the Capital Region.
That drier air also makes evening thunderstorms a bit less likely.
However, after 2 consecutive nights with thunderstorms, there IS a risk of a 3rd stormy evening tonight.
After today...Edmonton should be storm-free for a couple days.

Mainly sunny to Partly cloudy skies will prevail for the rest of the week with temperatures returning to the mid 20s by Thu/Fri.

Elsewhere around the province:
Cool & Windy in the NW - Grande Prairie hasn't had a daytime high cooler than 20 in August.
BUT...the forecast is for highs of 19 & 17 today and tomorrow.
Wind is expected to gust upwards of 60km/h today & may gust to 70 tomorrow.

Gusty wind will also be a factor tomorrow in NE Alberta.
Mainly sunny to partly cloudy skies & low 20s today from Cold Lake north to Fort McMurray.

Mainly sunny w/ just a slight risk of an evening shower in the Red Deer region.
Daily highs in the low 20s for the next couple days.
