Edmonton's COVID-19 active cases hit record high
EDMONTON -- Edmonton's active COVID-19 case count is the highest it has ever been since the pandemic started.
The city of Edmonton currently has 672 active cases of the coronavirus, while the Edmonton zone, which includes areas surrounding the city, has 751 — more than half of Alberta's 1,483 cases.
The entire city is under the province's watch with an active case rate of 65.8 per 100,000 residents.
Edmonton's hardest hit subzones include Northgate with 109 cases, Northeast with 104, Eastwood with 74 and Castle Downs with 66.
