The family of a man who has been missing for nearly two weeks is renewing the call for help in tracking him down.

Gary Francis Rain, 23, was last seen on March 12 – police said he told his wife he was heading home from the Stony Plain hospital, but had not been seen or heard from since.

On Wednesday, his family met with RCMP, and said they’re hearing from people who said they had seen him, but none of the tips had turned anything up.

“Gary’s mom has been getting messages from people saying ‘Gary’s here, Gary’s here,’ but that’s not helping, it’s just frustrating us more,” Henry Alexis, Rain’s uncle, said.

RCMP said they were following up on any lead they can find.

“He didn’t have a cell phone on him when he went missing,” Cpl. Colette Zazulak with the Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP said.

“There’s been no activity with respect to bank accounts, things like that, so the family is very concerned.”

Police said the disappearance isn’t believed to be suspicious.

However, they’re still hoping for tips that could lead to his current location, anyone with information is asked to call Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP at 780-962-2222 or 780-968-7267.
