A decision on the Heartland Transmission project has been put off for a week.

The Alberta Utilities Commission said they will be issuing a decision on the project Tuesday, November 1.

The AUC added that the province had officially withdrawn a request to put a decision about the project on hold.

Premier Alison Redford said the initial request, which was sent to the AUC by the Minister of Energy Ted Morton, was the result of a miscommunication.

The letter from the minister asked AUC to put the Heartland project as well as the Western and Eastern Alberta lines on hold.
