From covering political controversies at the Alberta Legislature to playing cowgirl at the CFR, no news story is off limits for this reporter who grew up in Beaumont, just outside of Edmonton.
Nicole is a NAIT Radio and Television graduate. She started her career working behind the scenes as an editor and a camera operator before she moved into a reporter position at Red Deer's CHCA News (formerly RDTV).
After the station closed in 2009, Nicole packed her bags and moved to the east coast where—for two and a half years— she worked as a video journalist at Global Maritimes. Nicole loved living in Halifax but wanted to be closer to family so in 2012, she made the decision to move back to Alberta where she landed a gig writing and reporting at CTV Edmonton. In 2015, Nicole took on a full-time role working with the charismatic team on CTV Morning Live and now works as a general assignment reporter and weekend late night anchor.
"I love my job because I get to meet all kinds of people and do something new and different every day," says Nicole. "It is truly a privilege to tell people's stories and work with so many others who are passionate about news."
Nicole's sense of adventure isn't limited to work: she's been to over 20 countries and is always planning her next big trip. She loves trying new restaurants, exploring the Canadian Rockies in winter and playing slo-pitch in summer.
