Edmonton Police have issued a public warning after an inmate at a high risk of re-offending was released from Bowden Institution.
Police said Lyle Blake Larson, 22, was released recently from the Bowden Institution after completing two years and four months of a three year, six month sentence.
The sentence followed a sexual interference charge stemming from a December 2009 incident in Sherwood Park.
It’s believed Larson poses a significant risk of harm to the community, especially females under the age of 18, and there’s a risk he could re-offend.
Larsen has been released on a number of conditions, including he’s not allowed to be around girls under the age of 18, unless with a responsible adult who is aware of his conditions, and he’s not to consume alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
In addition, Larsen isn’t allowed to have contact with his brother and co-accused in the crime, Cyle Larsen.
Lyle Larsen is described as:
- 165 cm (5’5”)
- 55 kg (121 lbs)
- Blond hair
- Green eyes
It’s believed Larsen could also have other female victims in and around the Edmonton area.
Any member of the public who sees Larsen breaking any of his conditions is asked to call 911, or to submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
