Police believe they may have found the body of Gary Francis Rain.

The discovery was made at Range Road 262 and Whitemud Drive near the River Cree Casino around 6:30 a.m.

Const. Kim Mueller told CTV News a human skull had been discovered by a resident of the Enoch Cree Nation.

“Further investigation led us to finding human remains.

“Some indication is that the clothing may match what we believe was what Gary Rain was wearing when he went missing.”

Const. Mueller said they were still investigating and though they did not know the cause of death it was not deemed suspicious.

Rain was last seen on March 12 and police said they had been in touch with his family following the discovery.

An autopsy has been scheduled for June 18.
